zaphexa The Slow Death album is a depressing and personal story of life and the experience of profound sickness and the desire of non-experience. Lyrically, the content finds itself an immovable barrier of grief and longing of life, alienated and now resigned, in the face of uncertainty, mystery, and nothing.

With instrumentals portraying confusion, nausea, and numbness. A feeling of disillusionment of the world as once attainable, familiar, hopeful, and real. Favorite track: Sickness.

baudelagon Capturé par Illimitable Dolor, j'en ai remonté la source. Il y a déjà ici énormément de talents - et la présence d'une vocaliste à la voix très belle et très douce ajoute encore quelque chose. Mais si les deux groupes sont évidemment proches - question d'héritage - il n'y a pas encore ici ce côté que je dirai "céleste" d'Illimitable. Deux discographies sublimes donc.

This was truly a revelation. I was getting started with funeral doom, working on something with my headphones on... Then came Déluge... my jaw actually dropped, I stopped what I was doing and, wide-eyed, just listened to the track, baffled and amazed. After the album was over (I never do this), I went to lay down with my headphones to enjoy it over again. I rarely heard (and felt) this much power and emotion in an album. Until I find something better, this is my landmark for peak funeral doom. fluo

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
